Job summary

Quest Global in Erie, PA is seeking a calibration engineer to support the Quality Manufacturing team by developing and updating process specifications and procedures for equipment calibration across the facility. You will review existing procedures, revise them to meet industry standards, and communicate issues and resolutions to the Quality Manager while advising leadership on gauge calibration issues.

Job description

• Support the Quality Manufacturing team by developing and updating process specifications and procedures for equipment calibration throughout the manufacturing facility
• Review existing procedures, compare them to actual implementations, revise procedures as required to meet industry standards.
• Communicate issues and resolutions to Quality Manager
• Advise manufacturing leadership on gauge calibration issues
• Update manufacturing process documentation per change-management practices

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, OR
• Associates degree with a minimum of 5 years manufacturing and/or engineering experience
• 1-5 years of experience in calibration, metrology, or quality engineering, preferably in the transportation industry.
• Strong understanding of metrology principles, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and measurement uncertainty analysis.
• Strong technical writing skills to develop and revise Gage Calibration Methods and Operations Instructions
• Familiarity with ISO, ANSI quality and calibration standards.
• Experience with asset management software, statistical analysis tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a shop-floor environment
• Hardware/Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite
