Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, Production to own the mechanical design and ramp for a critical edge compute and communications product. Based in Costa Mesa, CA, you will shepherd production changes, resolve field issues, and drive design for manufacture to enable high-volume production.

You will own BOMs, engineering docs, and configuration across product variants, collaborating with design and manufacturing teams, and supporting field deployments with engineering feedback.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Track record of owning designs on a team.
• Experience managing a BOM and drawings in a PLM tool.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to produce high‑quality drawings/documents.
• Fluency with engineering first principles.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical definition of production products from as-shipped configuration through changes.
• Investigate and resolve quality problems using RCA and PCA; ensure fixes stick.
• Design new components and revise existing ones as products evolve.
• DFMA lessons to feed back into design for faster, more reliable production."
• Own engineering documentation and BOM for the final shipped product.
• Serve as the mechanical authority for configuration and change management across all variants.
• Support qualification campaigns to prove product reliability.
• Collaborate daily with designers, manufacturing engineers, and production partners.
• Travel to field exercises to gather feedback from users.
