Job summary

Siemens in Munhall, PA, is seeking a Production Material Handler I to ensure the right materials are in the right place at the right time for rail vehicle production. You will coordinate shipments, support inventory accuracy, and work with cross-functional teams to maintain material readiness in a fast-paced factory setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or material handling environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Experience with inventory management, material movement, receiving, or shipping processes.
  • Comfortable using SAP, MRP, ERP, or inventory management systems.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure production teams have the materials, components, and inventory needed to meet manufacturing schedules.
  • Pick, kit, stage, and distribute materials to support locomotive and rail vehicle production.
  • Receive, inspect, label, and stock incoming materials while maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments, customer orders, and production-related logistics activities.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment to move materials safely and efficiently.
  • Support inventory control activities, cycle counts, SAP transactions, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Work closely with Production Planners, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve material shortages and maintain material readiness.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

As a Production Material Handler I, you'll play a critical role in supporting the manufacturing of advanced rail vehicles by ensuring the right materials are in the right place at the right time. Working closely with production, planning, and supply chain teams, you'll help maintain material flow, support inventory accuracy, coordinate shipments, and keep manufacturing operations running efficiently.
