Job summary

Belcan is seeking a floor-dispatch role focused on material movement and scheduling in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will coordinate parts movement on the floor and in the system, lifting up to 50 lbs and moving quickly to keep up with high-volume production.

The role emphasizes entry-level responsibilities, POS timing, and collaboration with planners, inspection, and other groups to ensure on-time delivery. Strong communication is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of dispatching, shop scheduling or production planning experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of material requirements planning, capacity planning and shop floor control.
• Familiarity with AMAPS and APICS concepts is preferred.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate timely movement and processing of parts to meet customer delivery schedules.
• Update production and inventory systems with accurate, timely data.
• Stage work and coordinate with support groups to initiate corrective actions.
• Split work orders, generate travellers, and coordinate with inspection and other teams.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts between shop and business teams; monitor WIP data quality.
