Job summary

Clark Material Handling Company is seeking a planning-focused professional to manage inbound materials, purchase orders, and supplier coordination. The role supports production schedules and inventory control through ERP systems and accurate data analysis.

You will collaborate with buyers, cycle counters, and accounting to reconcile invoices, optimize material flow, and participate in continuous improvement projects. Strong Excel and ERP skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Two-year college degree and 3-5 years’ experience supporting manufacturing through planning.
  • Analytical skills to review data and make good decisions.
  • Proficient with ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Issue purchase orders to suppliers to procure inbound material.
  • Expedite part shortages to support ongoing production.
  • Assist in returning non-conforming parts to suppliers and resolve urgent quality problems.
  • Work with cycle counters, material handlers, buyers, and accounting to reconcile invoices.
  • Manage inventory levels by aligning inbound to production schedules and coordinate supplier transitions.
  • Prioritize and handle tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Understand systems for Order Entry, MRP, BOMs, Shop Floor Control, MPP, Inventory Control and MRP systems.
  • Participate in special projects and team meetings and transfer information to others.
  • Support company policies and contribute to business success.

Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Issue purchase orders to suppliers to procure inbound material.

  • Expedite part shortages to support ongoing production.

  • Assist in returning non-conforming parts to suppliers along with solving urgent quality problems.

  • Work with the cycle counters, material handlers, buyers, and accounting to reconcile invoices.

  • Manage inventory levels by aligning inbound to match production schedules, and coordinate supplier transitions.

  • Prioritize and handle various tasks to meet deadlines.

  • Thorough understanding of computerized systems pertaining to Order Entry, Project Requirements Planning, Bills of Material, Shop Floor Control, Master Production Planning, Inventory Control and Material Requirements Planning.

  • Work on special projects as required.

  • Participate as a team member in work, meetings and other functions such as transferring information to others, improving working relationships with co-workers contributing to team success.

  • Support company policies and demonstrate concern for the success of the business.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Two-year college degree desired, with 3-5 years’ experience in supporting manufacturing through planning.

  • Self-motivated with a high degree of confidence and energy level.

  • Efficient computer skills working with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

  • Ability to problem solve, take supervision and direction from Managers at all levels.

  • Analytical skills to review data and make good decisions.

  • Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the US.
