Job summary

Alberici Constructors is seeking a Production Manager to oversee shop production, quality control, and related paperwork. You will coordinate between project management and shop supervisors to maintain schedules and ensure Code compliance, with travel across North America as needed.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Construction/Management/Engineering or Business, 1–3 years of related experience (or 3–5 years with an Associate), OSHA 30 within 1 month, and desirably CWI/NACE certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 1–3 years of related experience, or an Associate’s with 3–5 years of related experience.
• OSHA 30 hour certification within 1 month of hire.
• CWI and/or NACE Level 1–3 are desirable qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all shop production, including material receiving, processing, fit/weld, blast & paint, loading, shipping, forklift, and cranes.
• Monitors activities and equipment to ensure compliance with Code requirements.
• Adheres to Quality Control procedures per the orientation and policy manuals; collaborates with QC to determine repair methods.
• Directs work assignments for department supervisors to maintain quality and schedule adherence.
• Coordinates between Project Management and Shop Supervisors; participates in project meetings.
• Travels to company and subsidiary offices and client/subcontractor locations across North America as required.
• Maintains regular attendance and fulfills obligations as directed by supervision.

Position Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for production and the quality and paperwork related to it.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversees all Shop Production including but not limited to material receiving & processing, fit/weld, blast & paint, loading, shipping, forklift, cranes, etc.
• Monitors activities and equipment to isolate and correct any work that is not within Code requirements.
• Understands all Quality Control procedures and principles as stated in the “New Employee Orientation Package” and the “Hillsdale Quality Policy Manual” and affirms the Company’s commitment to this program.
• Works with the Quality Control Manager to determine the best methods of repairing work found not to be meeting Code requirements.
• Assigns and monitors work in appointed areas to assure that quality work is performed in accordance with the fabrication schedule.
• Directs work assignments for all department production supervisors.
• Supervises the completion of the work according to the project schedules.
• Coordinates between Project Management and Shop Supervisors.
• Participates in Project meetings, including, but not limited to kick-off meetings, production meetings and closeout meetings.
• Travels to Company and subsidiary offices; offsite client, subcontractor, and supplier meetings; and other locations across North America to fulfill the essential duties of the role as required.
• Exhibits regular and reliable attendance in person as required by the Supervisor, Company guidelines, and/or project and office obligations.

Management Responsibilities

• Manages and directs supervisory and non-supervisory administrative or union employees and is responsible for the overall direction and management of these employees.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Management, Engineering or Business and/or 1-3 years’ related experience and/or training; or Associates degree with 3-5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. OSHA 30 hour within 1 month of hiring. CWI and/or NACE Level 1, 2, or 3 desired.
