Job summary

Alberici is seeking a Plant Manager to direct and manage all plant operations for Hillsdale Fabricators in Missouri. You will oversee production, maintenance, quality, and labor relations in a union environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and financial performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of plant or general management experience in manufacturing, with strong budgeting, process improvement, and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages labor relations and union issues.
• Manages capital asset maintenance.
• Establishes and monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
• Maintains existing plant facilities and equipment; replaces or makes adjustments as needed.
• Provides leadership and training to accomplish Company goals and objectives.
• Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
• Travels to Company and subsidiary offices; client/subcontractor meetings; and other locations across North America.
• Exhibits regular and reliable attendance in person as required.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Plant Manager directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities as a part of Hillsdale Fabricators, a premier structural steel fabricator and erector.

• Directs and manages Responsible for labor relations and managing union issues associated with craft labor.
• Manages capital asset maintenance.
• Establishes and monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
• Controls and minimizes repair expenses.
• Maintains existing plant facilities and equipment; replaces or makes adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
• Provides leadership and training to accomplish Company goals and objectives.
• Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
• Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
• Manages and directs non-supervisory administrative or union employees and is responsible for the overall direction and management of these employees.
• Travels to Company and subsidiary offices; offsite client, subcontractor, and supplier meetings; and other locations across North America to fulfill the essential duties of the role as required.
• Exhibits regular and reliable attendance in person as required by the Supervisor, Company guidelines, and/or project and office obligations.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree and 5 years' plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience managing in a union environment required.
• Working knowledge of budgets and financials statements required.
• Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
