Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Production Manager to lead manufacturing execution, site maintenance, and safety compliance. The role converts the production plan into daily priorities, builds leader capability, removes constraints, and improves equipment reliability.

The manager will oversee shifts, coordinate with Quality, EHS, Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain, and own the operating budget while driving improvements in cycle time and yield.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of manufacturing experience, preferably in chemical, pharmaceutical, or process manufacturing.
• Three or more years of leadership experience with direct responsibility for people and results.
• Experience managing safety, quality, production schedules, labor, and operating metrics.
• Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems such as SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong floor leadership, decision‑making, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing execution across shifts and optimize safety and reliability.
• Translate production plan into staffing, equipment, and maintenance plans.
• Develop and coach four Manufacturing Team Leads and Production Coordinator.
• Maintain performance data on safety, quality, yield, and delivery.
• Monitor schedule attainment and recover from risks.
• Oversee staffing, overtime, training, and succession planning.
• Lead investigations for incidents and deviations; implement corrective actions.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive improvements in flow, changeovers, and yield.
• Collaborate with Quality, EHS, Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain.
• Manage operating budget and control expenses.
• Provide off-hours support for major issues.
• Perform other related duties.
