Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Production Manager in Geismar, LA to oversee cylinder testing and filling operations, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. You will lead shift staff, coordinate testing, and maintain production KPIs while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Two years of prior demonstrated management or leadership experience.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Complete 120 hours of UTT Level II training and obtain UE Certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cylinder testing operations and the sorting of scrapped cylinders and spare parts.
• Direct filling operations per production plan; ensure safe startup/stop procedures and valve manipulation.
• Monitor parameters, perform tests, and ensure quality and quantity targets are met.
• Serve as a first responder and initiate safety procedures; report issues to management.
• Handle primary and secondary cylinder handling, loading trucks, and forklift activity for distribution.
