Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, Memphis, TN, is hiring a Production Operator I to join the Filling Plant. You will operate and monitor filling stations, test gas for purity, and support safe, efficient production with accurate logs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, basic math, strong safety focus and teamwork. Monday–Friday schedule; forklift certification preferred; local applicants only.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks.
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to read instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Must be able to operate a forklift and obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Test gas for purity using testing equipment.
• Inspect or test empty cylinders.
• Operate and monitor production equipment including filling stations and pumps.
• Perform quality control checks on products and verify pressures and leaks.
• Load/unload cylinders using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Prepare cylinders for filling and label per specifications.
• Maintain accurate production logs and inventory records.
• Adhere to safety regulations and wear PPE as required.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and maintain a safe environment.
• Keep work area clean and organized; report major issues.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals.
