Description

Come and be a part of Amazon's dynamic Live Sports Production Team! We are looking for an experienced Production Manager with a focus in crewing, to support the Production Operations team on live event productions across multiple sports categories.

The Production Operations team is responsible for delivering high quality event productions on all global live sports properties to customers worldwide, across all Prime Video product lines and devices. We also support our productions through process improvements, scalability, and various initiatives. We work on designing solutions (tools and mechanisms) to manage and support productions globally so our team can work more efficiently and continue to scale.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will use your production management and field operations experience to operationalize new property launches and year-over-year sports property restarts. This role requires in-depth knowledge of remote and event production as the Production Manager (PM) will be responsible for managing the crewing aspects (Above-The-Line (ATL) and Below-The-Line (BTL)) and travel of assigned event production personnel across their assigned sports portfolio. You will manage the day-to-day operations of event logistics, production content and implement best practices policies and procedures for assigned sports properties to maintain effective workflows and delivery of projects. The PM will be the primary liaison to our Production Service Providers (PSP) ensuring the hiring, scheduling, and deployment (travel requirements), of crew meets our production standards.

The PM will work in lockstep with Sr. Production Ops Managers and Coordinating Producers (CPs) to manage the day-to-day execution of each assigned sports property, ensuring each remote event is fully crewed and logistical requirements are executed at a high bar and within budget. Working with the Sr. Production Ops leads, you will be responsible for assessing cost standards and maintaining show budgets. Using your technical experience and understanding of broadcast functions, you will recruit, hire and negotiate key personnel with PSPs to build crews for live events (both in-game and shoulder programming). You will be responsible for scheduling personnel, coordinating and arranging travel for the Live Production team and Talent, and booking on-site logistical vendor requirements. You will work with internal partner teams and PSPs on production safety, security, insurance and planning needs. You will be responsible for creating and distributing production books and call sheets, working with production counterparts to ensure each event is accurate.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are critical. The successful candidate thinks strategically, and can handle multiple projects with tight deadlines in an ambiguous and highly pressurized environment. The candidate optimizes cross team processes and assists in ongoing process improvements; and can manage complex production end-to-end with minimal guidance.
