Job summary

Charter Manufacturing is seeking a Production Manager for Charter Dura-Bar operations in Woodstock, IL. You will lead iron casting across multiple shifts, overseeing melting, casting, and the laboratory to ensure safe, efficient production of high-quality products.

You will coach supervisors, drive continuous improvement, and focus on reducing cost, waste, and downtime while maintaining schedules and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; 7+ years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment; 3+ years of supervisory/leadership experience in manufacturing; demonstrated abilities in planning, delegation, communications, problem solving and decision making; demonstrated experience in cost reduction through process improvements, continuous improvement techniques, and project management; proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage iron casting operations across multiple shifts, overseeing melting, casting and laboratory departments.
• Be a leader of leaders, coaching supervisor-level reports to drive safe, efficient production and high quality.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimize productivity and quality while reducing cost, waste and downtime.
