Boyd in Grand Rapids seeks a Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations, driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You will mentor the team, coordinate with engineering, scheduling, and service departments, and oversee training and SOP adherence to ensure efficient production and timely shipping.

The role requires a background in lean manufacturing, strong leadership, and ability to base decisions on data. It offers a dynamic environment with cross-functional collaboration.

Formación

• Degree in Business, Engineering, or Lean Manufacturing is required.
• Proven background leading kaizen events and continuous improvement.
• Progressive experience in management roles.
• Data driven—base solutions on data, not hunches.
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization, customers, and vendors.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Outlook) and PC use.

Responsabilidades

• Lead safety culture through training and hazard elimination.
• Use data to prioritize actions improving quality, throughput and manufacturability.
• Conduct Kaizen events to foster continuous improvement.
• Improve product cost via labor, process and material efficiency.
• Ensure KPI achievement across shifts.
• Develop and mentor team for increased responsibility.
• Maintain consistent work methods across shifts.
• Coordinate with engineering, scheduling, customer service, warehouse, and maintenance.
• Ensure SOP compliance and proper training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
