Qualifications

• OLCC Marijuana Workers Permit required by state regulations.
• Must be 21 years or older (state regulations).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years in a management or supervisory role required.
• Experience leading a team in a regulated production environment preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office; ERP/CRM/track-and-trace platforms experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and spend prolonged periods on the production floor.
• Strong communication, real-time problem solving, high attention to detail, and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Execute the active production schedule based on direction from the Production Director.
• Assign and delegate specific production and packaging tasks to team members based on priorities.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of production staff including interviewing, hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day logistical or operational issues on the floor to maintain steady workflows.
• Identify and implement opportunities for workflow, safety, and efficiency enhancements.
• Log production batch information and tracking details into the ERP system.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized production space in line with safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000/year

Schedule: Monday to Friday (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)

Fire Dept. Cannabis is a fast-growing Portland-based cannabis product line and production company that distributes to 250+ dispensaries across the State of Oregon. We produce a vast array of products, including edibles (cookies, rice crispy treats, gummies), kief, extracts, and a full line of pre-rolls (infused, single units, multipacks, hemp-wrapped blunts) with new products coming out regularly.

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Production Manager who excels in a fast-paced environment, maintains strict compliance standards, and efficiently leads a production team.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the active production schedule based on direction from the Production Director.
• Assign and delegate specific production and packaging tasks to team members based on priorities.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of production staff, including interviewing, hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, and managing disciplinary actions or terminations as necessary.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day logistical or operational issues on the floor to maintain steady workflows.
• Identify and implement opportunities for workflow, safety, and efficiency enhancements.
• Accurately log production batch information and tracking details into our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
• Help maintain an exceptionally clean, sanitary, and organized production space in compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, real-time problem-solving, high attention to detail, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
