Role Description

The Production Manager – Electronics/PCB Assembly is a full-time, on-site role based in Kennewick, WA. This role oversees daily production operations for SMT, thru-hole, and box build assembly lines, ensuring schedules, quality standards, and delivery commitments are met. The Production Manager coordinates staffing, supervises production teams, and collaborates with engineering, quality, and purchasing to optimize workflows and resolve technical or process issues. Responsibilities include monitoring key performance indicators, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining production documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements. The role also involves training team members, supporting new product introductions, and driving efficient use of equipment, materials, and labor.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to supervise, coach, and develop production staff.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing, including PCB assembly (SMT and thru-hole), box build, and cable/mechanical assembly processes.
• Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, workflow optimization, and capacity management in a high-mix, low- to mid-volume environment.
• Understanding of quality management systems, IPC standards, and ESD practices, with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and basic data analysis to track output, yield, and on-time delivery metrics.
• Solid communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with operations, engineering, quality, and customer service teams.
• Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and structured problem-solving methods (e.g., Lean, 5S, or similar).
• Relevant experience in an EMS or OEM environment; prior management or supervisory experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
