Luxfer Gas Cylinders in Riverside, CA, is seeking a Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing of specialty cylinders in a defined segment. You will lead production teams, drive quality, throughput, and continuous improvement while maintaining safety and compliance with ISO 9001 and AS standards.

You will coach supervisors across multiple shifts, collaborate with Engineering and Quality, and ensure accurate work instructions and on-floor documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field (required)
• Five (5) or more years of production management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with composite materials or pressure vessel manufacturing preferred
• Background in aerospace or automotive manufacturing is highly desirable
• Training or experience with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS standards related to process and documentation compliance

Responsabilités

• Lead production teams for specialty cylinders in a defined segment.
• Manage supervisors, leads, and operators across shifts.
• Coach and develop personnel with focus on safety and quality.
• Provide real-time technical support on production builds.
• Coordinate escalations with Engineering and Quality.
• Contain, document, and follow up on nonconforming conditions.
• Create and revise WIs, SOPs, and operator docs.
• Maintain accessible production floor documentation.
• Train supervisors and operators on new processes.
• Lead scrap reduction, yield and throughput initiatives.
• Apply Lean, 5S, Kaizen, RCA and Six Sigma.
• Monitor performance trends and trigger corrective actions.
• Ensure daily production reporting to leadership.
• Identify gaps using production data.
• Ensure ISO 9001 and AS compliance.
• Support CAPA investigations and corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot winding machines and curing ovens.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for uptime.
• Assist with commissioning and validation of new equipment.
