Job summary

Nulixir, a nanobiotech startup in Austin, TX, seeks an experienced packaging operations leader to run the in-house beverage canning line. This hands-on role requires coordinating daily production plans, sustaining quality, and driving safety in a fast-paced, B2B environment.

You will manage a growing team of 10–15 Production Operators, train staff, troubleshoot equipment, and partner with other departments to meet delivery timelines while upholding our core values.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of Nulixir’s in-house beverage canning line; develop daily production plans and ensure goals are realized.

• Train and supervise line workers to ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Monitor production processes and adjust as necessary to optimize efficiency.

Nulixir, a nano-biotechnology start-up, is a VC-backed business-to-business (B2B) company that develops, manufactures, and licenses intellectual property (IP) for smart nanocarriers, called nanovesicles, which optimize the performance of functional ingredients in food & beverage products. Founded in 2019, the company brought together a team of CPG leaders, cancer researchers, US attorneys, and nutritionists to overcome long-standing challenges in the Food and Beverage Industry. The firm’s founder has extensive experience in the development of nanocarriers for cancer therapeutics.

In the past-year, Nulixir sales have grown ~8x with strong interest from small, mid-size and many large CPG companies to partner with Nulixir and incorporate the technology in their products. Nulixir boasts an impressive board of senior executives from companies like Pepsi, Danone, McKinsey & Company, Paine Schwartz Partners, etc. The company currently has 30+ employees with a stellar executive team who come from food B2B companies such as ADM, Givaudan, Kerry, and ex-MBB consultants.

Position Overview:

Nulixir is looking for a highly qualified and experienced professional to lead Nulixir’s in-house packaging manufacturing operations within our canning department.

Position Location:

This position will be IN-PERSON at our HQ facilities located in the Austin, TX Metropolitan Area.

Relevant Job Experiences, Skills, and Key requirements for this role:

• Leadership: 2 years (required)
• Bottling or Canning Line Operations: 1 year (required)
• Previous experience in a supervisor/ lead role, preferably in the food/beverage industry
• Previous experience in operating/ leading a bottling/ canning line
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices
• Ability to fabricate, sanitize, and package products according to specifications
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

In this critically important role, you will be responsible for:
