Hyundai MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC is seeking a Production Manager to oversee assembly-line productivity and safety, plan short- and long-term objectives, and manage capacity and labor planning across manufacturing departments.

Responsibilities

• Plan short and long-term objectives for the Production department.
• Provide capacity and labor planning for all manufacturing departments.
• Coordinate continuous improvement efforts for productivity, quality, and safety.
• Coordinate corrective action planning to ensure effective root cause analysis and proper implementation of improvement methods.
• Teach continuous improvement philosophy through monthly training.
• Provide conflict resolution for and coach team members.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental goals.
• Ensure departmental compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Oversee and provide counseling on progressive discipline per company policies.
• Initiate reporting systems to monitor department performance.
• Minimize overtime of all assigned team members.
• Plan and conduct continuous improvement training of supervisory personnel.
• Maintain personnel headcount according to the business plan.
• Conduct annual evaluations (MBO) of supervisory personnel.
• Follow and promote safety in the workplace and attend safety meetings.
• Ensure proper management of key reports KPI and general reporting.
• Ensure production lines are managed with standard procedures for line operations, efficiencies, and shipping/warehouse management.
• Able to learn and utilize key software and systems, such as MES, SAP, payroll.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

• Plan short and long-term objectives for the Production department division
• Provide capacity and labor planning for all manufacturing departments
• Coordinate continuous improvement teams to achieve division goals in productivity improvements, quality improvements, and safety goals
• Coordinate corrective action planning to ensure effective root cause analysis and proper implementation of improvement methods
• Teach continuous improvement philosophy through monthly training
• Provide conflict resolution for and coach Team Members
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental goals
• Ensure departmental compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety rules
• Oversee and provide counseling on proper progressive discipline per company policies

• Able to learn and utilize key software and systems, such as MES, SAP, payroll, etc.

AUTHORITY & SCOPE This role operates within defined corporate policies and procedures and exercises judgment appropriate to its level of responsibility. The position may influence decisions related to functional operations, processes, or recommendations and escape matters as required.
