Job summary

G&S Foods is seeking a 3rd Shift Production Manager to supervise production operations and staff during the shift. You will ensure production goals, quality standards, safety requirements, and cost objectives are met while maintaining efficient operations.

You will direct activities across processing and packaging, plan with the scheduler, monitor performance and quality, troubleshoot issues, enforce GMPs, and coach employees to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing or food production.
• Manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to work a 3rd shift schedule.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and manufacturing practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate production activities across processing and packaging departments.
• Plan and prioritize production operations with the Production Scheduler to meet schedules and customer demand.
• Monitor production performance, labor efficiency, output, yield, and product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational, equipment, and process issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and utilization of machinery and equipment.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and ensure employee compliance.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop employees while maintaining accountability for performance and attendance.
• Manage labor, material, and waste costs to meet budgetary goals.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, R&D, Sales, and other departments to address production needs and support continuous improvement.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and management information.
• Enforce policies, safety requirements, GMPs, and food safety standards.
• Communicate production, staffing, safety, quality, and equipment concerns to management and other shifts.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Other duties as assigned.

Location Requirement

This position requires regular on-site attendance during the 3rd shift. Relocation assistance is not available.
