Job summary

Networks Connect is seeking a Production Manager to own the production department, coordinating resources, equipment, and team to keep output on schedule and within specification.

You'll lead supervisors overseeing machinists, operators, and material handlers, using ERP data and PDCA to drive continuous improvement, productivity, and cost control on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering, Technology, or Operations Management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Production, Distribution, or Manufacturing Supervision/Engineering.
• Practical, user-level knowledge of ERP systems (Syteline experience a plus).
• Strong systems skills across spreadsheet, database, and word processing tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage production resources and scheduling to meet customer delivery dates while maximizing utilization
• Partner with manufacturing engineers on equipment, facility, and production layout requirements
• Hire, develop, and retain production team members, including compensation negotiations for new hires
• Ensure compliance with their quality plan and support ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 requirements
• Drive productivity improvements using ERP data, root cause analysis, and the PDCA process
• Lead cost-reduction and throughput initiatives, including machine tooling automation and process elimination (e.g., Kaizen)
• Develop annual department budgets and monitor spending against plan
• Conduct regular employee evaluations and lead training/development programs for team members

This Production Manager opportunity is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives on driving operational performance through people, process, and data.

In this role, you will take ownership of the production department — managing resources, equipment, labor, and quality to keep output on schedule and on spec. You'll lead a team of supervisors overseeing machinists, operators, and material handlers, using ERP data and structured problem-solving tools to drive continuous improvement.
