Job summary

CompleteStaff is seeking a 1st shift Production Manager to meet both short and long-term production objectives. This leader will supervise low-high production operations in a fast-paced non-union manufacturing environment, leading hourly shift employees in a high mix, medium volume setting to achieve targets.

• 3+ years of Manufacturing Supervisory/Management experience required.
• Three to five years’ experience working in electrical assembly, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly shift employees in a high mix, medium volume environment to meet production objectives.
• Conduct performance reviews, discuss attendance, and recommend wage adjustments, promotions, etc.
• Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provide regular progress reports to the General Manager.
• Maintain safety compliance with regulations, policies, and labor contracts; administer disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Communicate daily with managers and peers on operating conditions and propose improvements to procedures and methods.
• Provide clear goals and objectives to direct reports and oversee the production floor direction, coordination, and evaluation.

Job description

Lead hourly shift employees in high mix, medium volume environment to meet both short and long-term production objectives.

Responsible for conducting performance reviews, discussing attendance and recommending wage adjustments, promotions, etc.

Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to General Manager

Utilizes operational metrics and an on the floor presence approach to maintain close surveillance over the manufacturing operations to assure scheduled workflow, utilization of manpower skills, machines, tooling methods and machine repairs.

Ensures compliance with safety regulations, policies, and labor contract provisions and administers disciplinary action when necessary.

Communicates daily with appropriate managers and peer group on overall operating conditions and make recommendations to improve procedures, methods, and techniques.

Communicate regularly with direct reports to provide goals and objective of the operations.

Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the production floor.

Also directly supervises approximately 25 non-supervisory employees.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
