Job summary

CompleteStaff is seeking a 1st shift Production Manager to lead a fast-paced, non-union manufacturing environment. You will supervise hourly operators in a high mix, medium volume setting and drive both short- and long-term production objectives.

The role emphasizes on-the-floor leadership, performance reviews, wage discussions, and discipline when needed. You will report to the General Manager and use metrics and regular progress reports to keep the operation aligned with goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Manufacturing Supervisory/Management experience.
• Three to Five years’ experience working in electrical assembly, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 25 non-supervisory employees on the production floor.
• Lead hourly shift employees to meet short and long-term objectives.
• Conduct performance reviews and discuss attendance and wage adjustments.
• Provide regular progress reports to General Manager.
• Ensure safety regulations and labor contract compliance.
• Communicate with managers to improve procedures and methods.
• Direct overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of production activities.

Job description

Seeking a 1st shift Production Manager to meet both short and long-term production objectives.

This leader will supervise low-high production operations in a fast-paced non-union manufacturing environment.

Lead hourly shift employees in high mix, medium volume environment to meet both short and long-term production objectives.

Responsible for conducting performance reviews, discussing attendance and recommending wage adjustments, promotions, etc.

Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to General Manager

Utilizes operational metrics and an on the floor presence approach to maintain close surveillance over the manufacturing operations to assure scheduled workflow, utilization of manpower skills, machines, tooling methods and machine repairs.

Ensures compliance with safety regulations, policies, and labor contract provisions and administers disciplinary action when necessary.

Communicates daily with appropriate managers and peer group on overall operating conditions and make recommendations to improve procedures, methods, and techniques.

Communicate regularly with direct reports to provide goals and objective of the operations.

Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the production floor.

Also directly supervises approximately 25 non-supervisory employees.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
