Our facility handles a diverse range of manufacturing projects, including large-scale PPE production utilizing multiple automated lines, government and military contracts, and smaller-scale commercial textile and garment production. This position works closely with Sales, Product Development, Quality, Supply Chain, and Logistics to ensure efficient production flow, resolve operational challenges, and meet production deadlines. The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, adaptable, and capable of making sound decisions under pressure.

Production Planning & Scheduling

Develop and manage daily and long-term production schedules based on priorities established by management. Coordinate production workflows and available resources to ensure established deadlines are met. Monitor production progress, identify potential delays or bottlenecks, and resolve day-to-day scheduling conflicts to maintain efficient operations. Assess production capacity and material availability and communicate any scheduling constraints or potential delays to management and relevant departments.

Manufacturing Operations & Workflow Management

Oversee daily manufacturing operations across automated and manual production lines, ensuring production teams have the necessary materials, equipment, specifications, and instructions to execute orders efficiently. Coordinate with the Quality team to address equipment issues and minimize production disruptions while identifying and resolving day-to-day production challenges to maintain an efficient workflow. Monitor production output, equipment utilization, labor efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance. Identify recurring production issues and recommend practical solutions to improve workflow and operational efficiency. Assist with implementing approved process improvements and operational changes to support continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Production Team Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with production line managers and operators to ensure clear communication of production priorities, schedules, and instructions. Monitor progress across production teams and follow up to ensure assigned work is completed accurately and on schedule. Provide guidance and support to production personnel in resolving day-to-day workflow challenges while maintaining effective communication between production teams, management, and relevant departments. Communicate directly with commercial clients when necessary to clarify production requirements, provide project updates, and address any project-related issues.

Cross-Departmental Coordination

Coordinate with Sales regarding production timelines, order status, and potential delays. Work closely with Product Development to obtain and clarify technical specifications, patterns, and production instructions. Collaborate with the Quality team to address production-related quality issues, inspections, and compliance requirements. Communicate with Supply Chain to monitor material availability and identify potential shortages, while coordinating with Logistics to ensure the timely transfer and shipment of completed orders. Provide regular production updates to management and elevate any problems requiring additional direction or approval.

Quality, Compliance & Safety

Ensure all production activities are carried out in accordance with approved standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and product specifications. Coordinate with the Quality department to address production-related nonconformances and support the implementation of corrective actions. Maintain accurate production records and documentation in accordance with established procedures, and assist with internal and external audits by providing relevant production information and records. Ensure production teams adhere to established workplace safety procedures and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment.
