Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and optimize manufacturing operations in a chemical/process environment. You will plan, coordinate and improve production to meet quality, safety, cost and delivery targets, while driving cross-functional collaboration and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or production management.
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
  • Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, process safety, quality systems and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP) and production planning tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules and resource plans for on-time delivery.

Production Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations. The Production Manager will be responsible for planning and coordinating production activities to meet quality, cost, safety and delivery targets. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement, maintaining regulatory and safety compliance, and managing cross-functional teams to maximize efficiency in a chemical and process manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize and supervise daily production activities to meet volume, quality and schedule targets.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules and resource plans to ensure on-time delivery and efficient use of materials and equipment.
  • Lead, coach and develop production supervisors and front-line employees to create a high-performance, safety-first culture.
  • Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing practices and Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies to reduce waste, improve throughput and lower costs.
  • Monitor production KPIs (OEE, yield, scrap, downtime) and prepare regular performance reports for senior management.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, quality, supply chain and R&D to resolve production issues and support process improvements.
  • Manage production budgets, labor planning and cost control initiatives.
  • Oversee inventory control, material handling and coordination with procurement to avoid production interruptions.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects, including root cause analysis, process optimization and pilot implementations for new manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or production management, preferably within the chemical or process industries.
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, process safety, quality systems and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing supervisors and production teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP) and familiarity with production planning and scheduling tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including structured problem solving (DMAIC) and root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Experience managing budgets, production metrics and cost improvement initiatives.
