As a key member of our Creative team, the Production Manager bridges the gap between design turnover and final artwork files for suppliers. You will translate design concepts into flawless, technically precise, print-ready packaging files across primary and secondary components.
Reporting to the Production Director, you bring a strong eye for technical detail, including dielines, typography, and print specifications, along with a deep appreciation for the aesthetics of prestige beauty.
This position is based in office from Mondays-Thursdays, and remote on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical File Creation: Build accurate mechanical files for primary components (direct deco bottles, labels, tubes) and secondary packaging (cartons, giftsets, etc.)
- Dieline Mastery:Review, apply, and adapt structural dielines, ensuring 1:1 and exact placement of all graphic elements, bleeds, and safety zones
- Line Extensions: Adapt existing core brand file set-up across complex regionalpackaging sizes, translations, and global SKU variants
- Typography & Layout: Maintain typographic consistency, managingtext wraps, kerning, ingredient list formatting, multi-lingual translations and legal requirements
- Team Collaboration: Liaise with cross-functional teams, including packaging engineer, marketing, and regulatory
- Communication: Clear communication with seniorleadership and stakeholders regarding project status, potential risks, and action plans to mitigate delays
- Process Improvement: Evaluate processes and identify areasfor improvement; Implementing solutions to streamline workflows, enhance quality, and reduce costs.
- Proof Verification: Ensure printer proofs contain specified spot colors, varnishlayers, and high-resolution imagery
- Supplier Interaction: If warranted, coordinate with overseas/ domesticprinters and packaging engineers to resolve technical file issues
- Color Management: Maintain consistent brand color standards across varied packaging substrates and print processes (e.g., offset, flexography). Understand regional print color profiles for proof to press expectations. Output match prints for vendor target
- Digital Archiving: Maintain highly organizedproject directories, standardized file naming structures, and master digital asset libraries
- Physical Prototyping: Produce in-house mockupsand/or digital files to comp houses
- Timeline Execution: Manage production tasks for multiple concurrent product launches, ensuring strict adherence to global manufacturing deadlines
- Miscellaneous Duties: May include minor retouching, color correction and conversions
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging, Marketing or a related field.
- 3+ years of Production Management experience.
- Beauty industry experience required, fragrance preferred. Packaging design agency experiences are welcomed.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multipleprojects simultaneously.
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, with expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and print specifications details
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate across departments
- Fundamentals of various printing processes, specialty finishes (hot stamping, embossing), ink limitations, and substrates
- Exceptional proofreading skills and an eagle-eye focus on picking up minor alignment, copy, or structural discrepancies
