Rush & Company is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain operations for our home fashions division in NYC. You will oversee raw material sourcing, textile procurement, cutting, sewing, finishing, and final packaging to ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality output.

The role requires 5+ years in textile production management, a related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and strong ERP/MS Office skills.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven production management experience in apparel, textiles, or home fashions/soft goods.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of textile construction, cutting and sewing operations; familiarity with ERP/production management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day manufacturing workflows from design handover to final packaged goods.
  • Coordinate with global fabric mills, trim suppliers, and manufacturing plants to manage timelines and costs.
  • Build and maintain realistic production schedules aligned with seasonal drops and forecasts.
  • Enforce strict quality control checkpoints for fabric integrity, color, stitching, and sizing specs.

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead the end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain operations for our home fashions division. You will oversee everything from raw material sourcing and textile procurement to cutting, sewing, finishing, and final packaging. Your main goal is to make sure our bedding, window treatments, bath textiles, and decorative accessories are produced on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Production Operations: Oversee day-to-day manufacturing workflows from design handover to final packaged goods, ensuring smooth line balancing and output goals
  • Vendor & Supply Chain Coordination: Partner closely with global fabric mills, trim suppliers, and overseas or domestic manufacturing plants to negotiate timelines, manage costs, and track raw material inventory
  • Scheduling & Planning: Build and maintain realistic production schedules that align with seasonal retail drops, internal sales forecasts, and customer delivery windows
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce strict quality control checkpoints for fabric integrity, color accuracy, stitching standards, and sizing specifications unique to home textiles
  • Cost Control & Efficiency: Monitor production budgets, minimize waste, and implement continuous process improvements (such as Lean manufacturing strategies) to optimize manufacturing efficiency
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and schedule production supervisors, floor staff, and quality inspectors across shifts. Foster a safe, accountable, and collaborative shop floor culture
  • Compliance & Safety: Enforce workplace safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and ethical manufacturing standards
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5+ years of proven production management experience specifically within apparel, textiles, or home fashions/soft goods manufacturing
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (equivalent work experience will also be considered)
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of textile construction, cutting and sewing operations, and supply chain logistics. Proficient in ERP/production management software and Microsoft Office
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent team-building, conflict-resolution, and decision-making capabilities under tight deadlines
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to bridge the gap between design teams, overseas vendors, and factory workers
