Job summary

LANXESS in Little Rock, AR is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvements in a manufacturing setting. You will supervise ~20 hourly workers and coordinate with Maintenance, QC, and Logistics to meet production targets.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing with supervisory experience; strong leadership, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills; and knowledge of OSHA standards.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment with supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coach and hold team members accountable.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and manufacturing safety practices; hands-on with production equipment.

  • Support departmental operations via production/quality tracking, maintenance coordination, process changes, audits/PHAs/RCAs, and other activities.

  • Support departmental operations through production and quality tracking, spending oversight, maintenance coordination, technical support, process changes, audits/PHAs/RCAs, and other operational activities.

Experience / Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or additional technical training preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment as well as supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach employees, address performance issues, and hold team members accountable.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand production processes, analyze data, and identify process trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and manufacturing safety practices.
  • Proficiency with computer-based production systems, Microsoft Office, and SAP; ability to maintain accurate production, quality, and operational records.
  • Willing and able to work hands-on in a production environment, including operating machinery such as forklifts and boilers, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing tasks requiring fine motor skills as needed.
