Job summary

LANXESS is seeking a production leader in Little Rock to manage daily operations, drive safety and quality, and coordinate cross-functional resources. You will supervise Shift Supervisors and ~20 hourly workers, coach performance, and uphold company policies while optimizing production and process improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing with supervisory experience, strong leadership and problem-solving skills, and hands-on work in a dynamic plant environment, with proficiency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or additional technical training preferred.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing or production environment with supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with ability to coach and hold team accountable.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze data and identify trends.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and manufacturing safety practices.
• Proficiency with SAP, MS Office; ability to maintain production and quality records.
• Willingness to work hands-on in production, including operating machinery and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Job Highlights

• Monitor and adjust processes, troubleshoot issues, and use production data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and support root cause investigations.
• Coordinate resources and priorities and serve as a key liaison between Production, Maintenance, QC, Logistics, and other support functions.
• Supervise and develop Shift Supervisor(s) and approximately 20 hourly production employees through training, coaching, performance management, and reinforcement of company policies and procedures.
• Support departmental operations through production and quality tracking, spending oversight, maintenance coordination, technical support, process changes, audits/PHAs/RCAs, and other operational activities.

Experience / Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or additional technical training preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment as well as supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach employees, address performance issues, and hold team members accountable.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand production processes, analyze data, and identify process trends and improvement opportunities.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and manufacturing safety practices.
• Proficiency with computer-based production systems, Microsoft Office, and SAP; ability to maintain accurate production, quality, and operational records.
• Willing and able to work hands‑on in a production environment, including operating machinery such as forklifts and boilers, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing tasks requiring fine motor skills as needed.
