Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Production Manager in Leavenworth, KS to supervise project execution and drive efficiency across operations. The role reports to the Director of Operations and focuses on aligning staffing, priorities, and resources to hit targets while improving processes and profitability.

The ideal candidate has a track record of leading teams, coaching staff, and implementing safety and quality standards in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Business, or related field.
  • Experience in hydraulics industry strongly preferred.
  • Successful track record of leading teams and executing business initiatives.
  • Ability to develop relationships, and foster a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the timely completion of all projects and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Communicate job expectations to hourly and salary employees and monitor production results.
  • Work with all employees using coaching, counseling, discipline, and mediation skills.
  • Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process, control points, equipment, and resources to achieve targets.
  • Assign personnel to accomplish work results; establish priorities; monitor progress; resolve problems; evaluate employees and conduct training.
  • Ensure safety of all employees and enforce safety rules, PPE, and policies; maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Job description

A top-tier, employee owned, family first organization is looking for an experienced Production Manager.

The Production Manager will work closely with the Director of Operations.

  • Supervise the timely completion of all projects, create and implement process improvements, and coordinate projects in a manner that maximizes efficiency and profitability.
  • Achieves manufacturing results by communicating job expectations to hourly and salary employees. Plans, monitors, and appraises production results
  • They will work with all employees using coaching, counseling, discipline, and mediation skills
  • Needs to be a driver, maintaining workflow by monitoring steps of the process using process monitors; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources reporting on daily results, and making corrections to achieve targets
  • Assigns personnel to accomplish work results; establishes priorities; monitors progress; resolves problems; evaluates employees, and conducts orientation and training of personnel
  • Responsible for the safety of all employees and ensures they know and acknowledge all safety rules, policies, and necessary PPE for each position
  • Accountable for compliance with established quality policies and procedures
  • Responsible for communication on all equipment and machines. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel
