Job summary

Explore Industries in Albany, New York is seeking a Production Manager to lead vinyl pool liner fabrication and packaging on-site. This role directs people, process, quality, and throughput to ensure liners ship safely, on schedule, and to standard.

You will own day-to-day production priorities, develop the team, coordinate with planning, engineering, safety, quality, purchasing, warehouse, and finance, and drive continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 1+ years of manufacturing and project management experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience leading people on a production floor, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous-improvement mindset.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to meet performance standards and deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced plant.
• Clear communication with plant teams, management, and cross-functional partners.
• Vinyl liner, metal fabrication, or similar manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct production activities and set priorities for vinyl pool liner fabrication and packaging.
• Motivate, coach, and develop the team; lead hiring, training, cross-training, work assignment, and performance management.
• Complete timely performance appraisals; recognize strong work and resolve personnel issues and grievances.
• Partner with management on production and quality standards, budgets, and cost controls; maintain production, material, and personnel records.
• Ensure a safe workplace and compliance with local and federal OSHA and EPA standards.
• Monitor inbound, in-process, and shipped product; drive quality corrections and keep throughput on the production schedule.
• Direct preventive maintenance on critical equipment and coordinate with planning, purchasing, warehouse, and manufacturing.

• Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 annually
• Actual compensation will be based on experience and job-related skills.
