Job summary

Explore Industries in Albany, NY is seeking a Production Manager to lead vinyl pool liner fabrication and packaging on-site. You will directly manage people, process, quality, and throughput to ensure liners ship safely, on schedule, and to standard.

The role sits at the intersection of leadership and plant performance, coordinating with planning, engineering, safety, quality, purchasing, warehouse, and finance while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 1+ years of manufacturing and project management experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience leading people on a production floor, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous-improvement mindset.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to meet performance standards and deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced plant.
• Vinyl liner, metal fabrication, or similar manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct production activities and set priorities for vinyl pool liner fabrication and packaging.
• Motivate, coach, and develop the team; lead hiring, training, cross-training, work assignment, and performance management.
• Complete timely performance appraisals; recognize strong work and resolve personnel issues and grievances.
• Partner with management on production and quality standards, budgets, and cost controls; maintain production, material, and personnel records.
• Ensure a safe workplace and compliance with local and federal OSHA and EPA standards.
• Monitor inbound, in-process, and shipped product; drive quality corrections and keep throughput on the production schedule.
• Direct preventive maintenance on critical equipment and coordinate with planning, purchasing, warehouse, and manufacturing.
