Job summary

National Manufacturer is expanding its production leadership team in the Southern USA. The Production Manager will drive on-time deliveries, productivity, and quality using lean methods and cellular layouts, while promoting continuous improvements across shifts.

The role requires hands-on leadership, staff development, and collaboration with planning, maintenance, engineering, and customer service to meet aggressive production goals. Relocation benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in an industrial manufacturing plant.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience in metal fabrication of heavy equipment.
• Strong Lean and continuous improvement capabilities.
• Experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive on-time deliveries, productivity, and quality via lean management.
• Support lean manufacturing, 6S, Value Stream, and cellular manufacturing to reduce costs.
• Lead and train staff; schedule work; manage performance reviews.
• Direct the activities of production supervisors, maintenance, planning, customer service, and engineers.
• Hire and develop new leaders within the team.
• Coach and mentor staff.

Salary $80,000 - $90,000 + Bonus + Benefits + Paid Relocation to the Southern USA

National Manufacturer is expanding their product line and has an awesome opportunity for a proactive hands-on boots-on-the-floor Production Manager who will bring energy and positive changes by leading production and planning teams.

As the Production Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Drive on time deliveries, productivity, and quality via efficiency & lean management
• Support lean manufacturing, 6S, Value Stream, and cellular manufacturing to reduce costs and increase quality
• Lead & teach staff to incorporate efficient methodologies
• Direct the activities of production supervisors, maintenance support, planning, customer service, and engineers
• Hire & train new staff, create work schedules, manage performance issues & reviews
• Coach, mentor, & develop new leaders amongst your staff.

Minimum requirements for this Production Manager position:

• At least 5 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing plant and at least 2 of those years in a supervisory or management position.
• Experience in metal fabrication of heavy equipment.
• STRONG Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvements skills.
• Excellent administrative, organizing, time management, and attention to detail skills.
• Experience managing multiple shifts.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Must be able to work without sponsorship.
