Job summary

Schreiber Foods, Inc. is seeking a Production Manager to lead a team and oversee the String Department in a food manufacturing setting. You will drive efficient, safe, and high‑quality production, ensuring products meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.

You will mentor production supervisors, coordinate cross‑functional teams including quality, sanitation, R&D, and supply chain, manage budgets, and champion food safety and continuous improvement. Travel up to 15% is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required or preferred.
  • 3–5 years of proven production leadership experience for candidates with a high-school diploma.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or equivalent role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with influence and clarity.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse partners and promote dignity and respect.
  • Travel up to 15% required.

  • Establish and monitor production metrics and KPIs related to efficiency, safety, and partner performance.
  • Identify customer requirements and schedule orders considering production efficiencies.
  • Identify potential capital improvements and oversee capital projects.
  • Lead change initiatives to introduce new technology or processes for better performance.
  • Encourage continuous improvement through problem solving and process optimization.

Production Manager

As a Production Manager, you will lead and inspire a team of production partners in a food manufacturing setting to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production processes. This role ensures that all food products meet the company’s quality standards and comply with regulatory guidelines, while maximizing productivity. This position will be responsible for the String Department.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a diverse team of production supervisors to drive performance, accountability, and engagement.

  • Champion a culture of food safety and quality across the plant, ensuring compliance with OSHA, USDA, FDA, EPA, EEOC, OFCCP, and other regulatory standards.
  • Establish and monitor production metrics and KPIs related to production efficiency, safety, and partner performance.
  • Identify and communicate customer requirements; schedule customer orders in a timely manner considering production efficiencies.
  • Identify potential capital improvements, manage approval processes, and oversee capital projects.
  • Lead and manage change initiatives to introduce new technology or processes that enhance overall performance.
  • Encourage continuous improvement by involving team members in problem solving and process optimization initiatives.
  • Track and maintain control of variable and fixed budgets.
  • Administer various company, plant, or department processes in pay systems, performance management, interview processes, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements.
  • Interpret and communicate customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups.
  • Establish and audit PCPs, CCPs, and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, ensuring customer requirements are met.
  • Review incidents where procedures are not met, determining appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food/Dairy Science, Agriculture, Business Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Consideration given to candidates with a high‑school diploma or GED with 3–5 years of proven production‑leadership experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or equivalent role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with influence and clarity.
  • Proactive, self‑accountable, solutions‑oriented, with a continuous desire to learn, grow, and improve.
  • Ability to collaborate with partners from diverse backgrounds and promote a culture rooted in dignity and respect.
  • Ability to lead through change and drive organizational growth.
  • Travel up to 15% required.
Travel & Driver Requirements

Travel up to 15% of the time may be required. A valid driver’s license, auto insurance with at least the state minimum, an acceptable driving record, and a suitable vehicle are required to meet travel necessities of the position.
