Job Store Professional is seeking an experienced Production Manager / Plant Manager for a manufacturing client in Weld County, CO. This leadership opportunity is ideal for a hands-on, technically minded operations professional with a strong engineering foundation and a passion for driving plant performance, operational efficiency, and team development.

This role will oversee day-to-day plant operations in a highly automated processing environment, with responsibility for production, safety, maintenance, inventory, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced manufacturing settings and enjoys balancing strategic leadership with an active presence on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production performance.
  • Develop and execute production schedules to maximize throughput, equipment utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor plant KPIs, including uptime, productivity, waste reduction, and operational performance metrics.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and drive manufacturing excellence.
Environmental, Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and industry regulatory standards.
  • Serve as the primary plant liaison for inspections, permitting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain safety procedures, environmental protocols, and audit readiness to support a strong culture of compliance and accountability.
  • Lead proactive safety initiatives and reinforce best practices across the facility.
Engineering, Process Improvement & Maintenance
  • Partner with engineering and technical teams to optimize manufacturing systems, equipment reliability, and process efficiencies.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs to maximize uptime and equipment performance.
  • Promote an organized, lean manufacturing environment with strong housekeeping and 5S practices.
  • Support process improvements through data analysis, troubleshooting, and operational problem-solving.
Inventory & Operational Planning
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through effective cycle counts, inventory controls, and partnership with finance teams.
  • Manage material planning and consumable inventory to support uninterrupted production while maintaining efficient storage utilization.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP and maintenance systems to monitor operational performance and resource planning.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop frontline leadership and plant personnel to foster a high-performance, safety-focused culture.
  • Conduct performance management, staffing assessments, and employee development initiatives.
  • Create an environment centered on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field required.
  • 6-10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a production, operations, or plant management capacity.
  • Experience within regulated or process-driven manufacturing environments such as food & beverage, industrial processing, chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical, agricultural processing, or similar industries preferred.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP, OSHA compliance, safety programs, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, CMMS platforms, Excel, and operational reporting tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on management style.
