What you’ll be working on:

Responsible for managing the overall production process and leading the team in accordance with policies, procedures, regulations, and laws. The Production Manager oversees departments in the production room and sales floor, ensuring proper item placement, pricing, merchandise utilization, and workflow. Supervision includes quality control, coaching, and performance assessment, guided by Savers' vision and core values.

Store Performance
  • Ensure financial targets and key metrics are met.
  • Monitor and set work pace.
  • Analyze key metrics and market potential.
  • Inspect sales floor for shop-ability and customer/donor experience.
  • Prioritize team activities.
Leadership and Development
  • Lead and supervise supervisors and team members.
  • Plan staffing, recruitment, and training.
  • Assess, coach, and develop staff.
  • Maintain a respectful, values-driven workplace.
  • Communicate openly, recognize achievements, and address issues.
  • Fulfill manager on duty responsibilities and oversee the store when needed.
Customer/Donor Service
  • Respond to questions, requests, and complaints.
  • Set an example for excellent service and train staff accordingly.
  • Engage with customers and donors for feedback and improvements.
  • Implement sales and marketing promotions.
  • Assist donors per company standards.
Consistent Production
  • Manage item condition, volume, margins, and seasonal stock.
  • Ensure availability of sellable items.
  • Plan and direct team work to meet sales and efficiency goals.
  • Oversee quality checks and workflow efficiencies.
  • Lead morning maintenance to prepare the store for business.
  • Partner with donation and retail managers on flow and process.
  • Maintain accurate stock and merchandise supply.
  • Leverage recycling programs to reduce landfill waste.
Loss Prevention and Safety
  • Protect assets and information.
  • Promote loss prevention awareness.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Oversee safety certifications and procedures.

In the absence of the Store Manager, oversee store operations and team, implementing company policies and making decisions as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

What you have:
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience:
  • High School diploma; post-secondary degree/diploma preferred.
  • Results-driven retail or industrial management experience.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry products up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent reaching, standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
  • Dexterity for hand-eye coordination tasks.
  • Ability to handle environmental hazards and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

FLSA: Exempt

Travel: Periodic driving for business purposes.
