Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Management Trainee to build a comprehensive understanding of plant operations and manufacturing processes. You will work under a mentor and gain hands-on experience across scheduling, costing, and continuous improvement.

During the program you will rotate through Tube Laser, Flat Laser, and Press Brake operations, learn budgeting, and develop a strong grasp of material utilization, safety compliance, and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of experience in the metal fabrication industry.
• 3 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Develops comprehensive knowledge of Company products and procedures through on-the-job training.
• Develops knowledge of Tube Laser, Flat Laser, and Press Brake operations.
• Develops knowledge of materials usage, cuts and yields.
• Learns to operate the Company’s business system for administrative functions.
• Develops knowledge of product costing and budgeting processes.
• Gains understanding of production scheduling and expense control.
• Supervises activities in line with policies, procedures, and laws.
• Participates in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
