Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Management Trainee to build a solid foundation in plant operations and manufacturing processes. You will work under a mentor, gaining hands-on experience with products, procedures, and the production scheduling workflow.

The role emphasizes cost awareness, continuous improvement, and safety, including training on budgeting, reporting, and administrative tasks using the company system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develops comprehensive knowledge of Company products and procedures through on-the-job training activities.
• Develops knowledge of panel and lumber grades and lumber math and efficient utilization of materials.
• Learns how to operate the Company's business system to perform required administrative functions.
• Develops detailed knowledge of product costing and the production scheduling process.
• Develops an understanding of the budget and expense control process.
• Supervises activities in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and laws.
• Gains knowledge of Continuous Improvement, efficiency standards, and safety.
• Acquires understanding of Human Resources policies and practices.
• Tours other UFP facilities and customer locations to deepen operations knowledge.
• Completes courses and assignments and prepares reports as required.
