Job summary

JB is seeking an experienced Production Maintenance Technician to join our team in Minnesota. The role focuses on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair in a fast-paced environment.

The position entails preventive and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment, with emphasis on safety, GMP/HACCP compliance, and accurate data entry of work orders. Compensation starts at $24.00 per hour, with a $2.00 weekend shift differential.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive and unscheduled maintenance of production equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in production environments.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and measuring equipment.
• Adheres to GMPs and HACCP requirements.
• Safety PPE usage and compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and unscheduled maintenance of production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and repair/replace parts; test and adjust equipment.
• Work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Use hand/power tools and measuring devices; complete work orders and data entry.
• Follow GMP/HACCP and safety policies; wear PPE as required.
• Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Leadership.

Compensation

• Starting hourly rate for this position is: $24.00 per hour
• An additional $2.00 shift differential will be applied while working Weekend shift
• Pay is based on job-related experience

Schedule

• Weekend shift: Friday - Sunday (5:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
• For this position, the first day of employment will follow a temporary training schedule of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. After that, employees will transition directly to their regular assigned schedule.

Essential Functions

• Perform routine preventative and unscheduled maintenance of production equipment, and complete related work orders and data entry tasks daily.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments on production equipment.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Leadership.
• Perform all duties with required safety equipment in compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including the use on required PPE.
• Comply with requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).

Physical And Environmental Factors

• Includes activities such as but not limited to walking, lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, twisting and turning
• Requires ability to lift up to 30 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
• Requires ability to stand for the entirety of the shift (minus breaks/rest periods)
• Subject to temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to 50 degrees
