Production Maintenance Technician Weekend Shift

Join us to apply for the Production Maintenance Technician Weekend Shift role at Buckeye Fire Equipment.

Schedule: 7 am - 7 pm, Friday through Sunday.

We are seeking a Production Maintenance Technician for our weekend shift. The technician should have a strong understanding of maintenance and repair principles and be capable of working independently or with a helper to perform skilled duties, including PLC troubleshooting and programming.

Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for a weekly attendance bonus! Eligible employees can earn an additional $1 per hour worked, on top of their hourly wages, for working their scheduled shift.

Essential Functions

• Use hand tools, instruments, and basic shop tools to support maintenance functions.
• Build custom panels for production; possess basic knowledge of TCP/IP networks.
• Program and maintain automated equipment such as PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
• Diagnose, replace, and repair faulty electrical components throughout the plant.
• Utilize documents, drawings, and reference materials to troubleshoot and correct equipment issues, including performing failure analyses.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, sensors, and communication pathways to restore equipment to operational status.
• Follow safety, health, and environmental policies; adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to enhance efficiency and yield.
• Mentor junior technicians to develop maintenance skills.
• Report to a manager and work under the guidance of lead personnel and the functional area manager.
• Document all work performed, including preventive and corrective maintenance.

Job Specifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 4 years of related experience and specialized training with certification preferred.

Must Have The Ability To

• Occasionally lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Hear and respond quickly to alarms and radio communications.
• Walk, stand, sit, bend, or kneel to access equipment.
• Have normal or corrected vision with no color blindness.
• Climb ladders or use lifting devices at heights.
• Work in non-climate-controlled areas.
• Wear protective gear including safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, and dust masks.
• Work a changing shift schedule.
