Job summary

Paycom in Kings Mountain, NC is seeking a maintenance technician to perform a variety of semiskilled and skilled duties across hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and control systems. Job SummaryWhile possessing a comprehensive understanding of maintenance and repair principles, the technician will work independently or with others to perform a variety of semiskilled and skilled duties in the areas of hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, metalwork, HVAC, electrical, electronics, control and instrumentation.Essential FunctionsUses hand tools and basic shop tools to support essential functions.Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on production and facilities equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical).While using documents, drawings and reference materials, troubleshoots and corrects equipment problems. Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance).Complies with established safety, health, environmental policies. Adheres to company policies, guidelines and procedures.Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve efficiency, capability and yield.Documents work performed including preventative and corrective maintenance issues.Assists higher-level technicians as directed.Reports to a supervisor and works under the direction of senior personnel. Will also work under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.Requires a high school diploma or GED.
