Job summary

Paycom in Dallas, TX seeks a Maintenance Technician to support safety, quality, and production by keeping facility and machinery running. You will perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, and production equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and diagnose mechanical issues using manuals and blueprints.

The role requires at least 2 years in manufacturing, an AAS or related technical degree, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• AAS degree or related technical discipline; mechanical or manufacturing engineering preferred.
• Hydraulic, electrical, & mechanical aptitude; troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong computer skills; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Insures operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions to ensure machines continue to run smoothly.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them using manuals and blueprints.
• Install, repair wiring, electrical components, and piping as needed.
• Document actions and communicate needs to maintenance teams.

Job Summary: Maintenance Tech maintains safety, quality, and production by ensuring operation of facility and machinery & mechanical equipment. Job duties will include hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, automation, &/or fabrication. Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity on a daily basis.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Insures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions to ensure machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as needed. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using measurement equipment.Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.Repair or replace defective equipment and/or parts, using hand tools, power tools, and reassemble equipment.Use tools ranging from common hand/power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Must be able to work 12 hour rotating days and/or night shiftsEducation, Experience, and Skills Required:Must possess knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceMust have basic computer knowledgeMust have at least 2 years of manufacturing experienceHydraulic, electrical, & mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting abilities and problem solving skills are preferredJob Qualifications:AAS degree or related job experience , in a technical discipline; mechanical or manufacturing engineering preferred.Must be legally authorized to work in the United StatesMust be able to lift to 50 lbs.Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications.Strong multi-tasking skills.
