Job summary

Perdue Farms Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to keep production moving by maintaining, servicing, and repairing production equipment and electrical systems. Your hands-on work supports product quality, equipment reliability and daily production success.

The position offers a base rate of $21.25 per hour, with opportunities for pay premiums, shift differentials and overtime where applicable. An annual bonus and comprehensive benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Reading, writing and analytical skills required.
• Must regularly use hand tools and shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and understand manufacturers' equipment manuals, preventive maintenance task sheets and safety policies.
• Perform equipment adjustments and repairs, preventative maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
• Perform duties during production and non-production hours with OSHA Lockout/Tagout and safety regulations.
• Monitor equipment performance and inform maintenance and production supervisors of potential problems.
• Maintain logbooks and calibrate machinery to performance standards.
• Provide hands-on training to lower-level mechanics and techs.
• Keep equipment clean throughout the shift and deep clean after shift when applicable.
