Job summary

Perdue Farms Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to help keep production moving by maintaining, servicing, and repairing production equipment and electrical systems.

This hands-on role supports product quality and equipment reliability on the production floor. The position offers a base rate of $18.50 per hour, with potential pay premiums, shift differentials, overtime where applicable, and an annual bonus based on performance.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent.
• 2 - 4 years of experience.
• Reading, writing and analytical skills are required.
• Must always have personal tools and be able to use and operate hand tools and industrial shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and understand manufacturers' equipment manuals, PM task sheets and safety policies.
• Perform equipment adjustments and repairs, preventive maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
• Perform duties during production and non-production hours in a timely manner with OSHA Lockout/Tagout and safety regulations.
• Monitor equipment performance and inform maintenance and production supervisors of potential problems.
• Maintain logbooks by applying math skills through PM stages to calibrate machinery.
• Provide hands-on training/direction to lower-level mechanics and techs in servicing and maintaining equipment.
• Keep equipment clean throughout the shift and deep clean after shift.
