Job summary

Perdue Farms, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to keep production moving, service equipment, and perform repairs to ensure safe, efficient operations. The role supports product quality and daily production success with hands-on work on machinery and electrical systems.

You will follow established procedures, work on the plant floor, and receive on-the-job training. The base pay is competitive, with opportunities for premiums and overtime; a comprehensive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

High School or equivalent required.
2-4 years of experience preferred.
Reading, writing and analytical skills are required.
Must always have personal tools and be able to use and operate hand tools and industrial shop equipment.

Responsibilities

Read, interpret and understand manufacturers' equipment manuals, preventative task sheets and safety policies.
Perform equipment adjustments and repairs, preventative maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
Work during production and non-production hours with OSHA Lockout/Tagout and company safety regulations.
Monitor performance of equipment and inform maintenance and production supervisors of potential problems.
Maintain logbooks by applying math skills through PM stages to calibrate machinery.
