Accelera in Waterbury, CT, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee facility systems and production machinery. You will perform routine setups, repairs, and troubleshooting to keep daily operations efficient and safe.

The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical aptitude and at least 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, with the ability to read schematics and work with electrical and plumbing tasks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Completion of a technical degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting proficiency.
• Foundational understanding of plumbing and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair various production machines.
• Execute equipment setup tasks by following SOPs and manuals.
• Analyze technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals to guide work.
• Help improve equipment reliability by diagnosing issues and performing root cause analysis.
• Identify necessary repairs, adjustments, or part replacements to keep lines moving.
• Respond to urgent or unscheduled repair needs as they arise.
• Ensure production and packaging lines are configured correctly for optimal output.
• Manage maintenance work orders to ensure timely completion and accuracy.
• Document all maintenance activities to meet quality and procedural standards.
• Handle general facility upkeep including electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Monitor work areas and equipment to keep them clean and in good order.
• Carry out assigned pest control tasks as needed.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Utilize forklifts, scissor lifts, and other machinery as needed.
