Job summary

Makino Inc. is seeking an Application Engineer for the Aero Engine Group in Mason, OH. The role supports aerospace engine component manufacturing through process development, tooling design, CNC programming, and customer collaboration.

You will utilize Makino's milling and grinding platforms, develop machining processes and NC programs in Siemens NX, and design tooling and fixtures while traveling up to 50% to customer sites. A strong background in aerospace and multi-axis CNC is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in engineering or 2+ years relevant experience.
• OR 5+ years hands-on machining/CNC experience.
• Aerospace and tight-tolerance machining preferred.
• Multi-axis CNC, Fanuc/Makino controls knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing Makino's advanced milling and grinding platforms, utilizing 3+2 and simultaneous 5-axis machining techniques.
• Develop machining processes and NC programs (Siemens NX).
• Design tooling, fixtures, and dressing rolls.
• Simulate programs in Vericut; execute on Makino platforms.
• Conduct test cuts and machine demos.
• Provide post-sale support and training at customer sites.
• Document project results and process plans.
