Job summary

CHEP Services, LLC is seeking a hands-on production associate to support the assembly line and tooling operations. You will set up and prepare tools, ensure materials are available and maintain clean, safe work areas.

This role requires lifting up to 77 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 34 lbs/ft, and strict adherence to safety protocols. You will work in a fast-paced environment, communicate with teammates, and contribute to efficient production and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Basic safety awareness and compliance on a production floor.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment for production and assembly.
• Physical capacity to perform lifting and material handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and Operation of Tools and Equipment: Set up and prepare tools and equipment for production and assembly line use. Ensure materials and components are available and in proper quantities. Conduct routine inspections to identify issues before operation. Operates equipment that cuts wood and wood products to specified lengths.
• Equipment Monitoring: Operate machinery to support product and material flow along the production line. Monitor equipment functionality, jams, glitches, or irregularities. Address minor jams promptly. Report larger issues to maintenance. Communicate with team members and supervisors for smooth flow.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery. Maintain a clean work environment following safety standards. Report hazards to supervisors.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Lift and carry up to 77lbs, push up to 34 lbs./feet, pull up to 34 lbs./feet.
