Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Operates and monitors high speed machinery while complying with production and safety standards.


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  1. Maintains all product flow.
  2. Ensures comprehensive product quality.
  3. Utilizes computer screens and functions, and is familiar with HMI functionality.
  4. Supports OEE functions on line, interprets data and makes adjustments, as needed.
  5. Maintains a clean work area and clean equipment.
  6. Completes all necessary line inspections and reports using computers/tablets on the line.
  7. Assists with line change over.
  8. Other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required. Previous manufacturing experience preferred. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with the ability to multi-task and trouble shoot; critical thinking skills are necessary. Interfaces with Allen Bradley PLC controller and touch screen devices. Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks. This position is 40 plus hours per week, Memorial Day through Labor Day; frequently work will be on Saturdays and Sundays in the summer. Possible flex shifts of 12 hour days. Must be able to successfully complete the forklift certification, as applicable.


ESSENTIAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
Mental Functions
Production lines are controlled by PLC controllers which require critical thinking to trouble shoot problems. Work stations are repetitive yet variable in nature due the different products and package configurations. Variability is moderate to high depending on volume demands.


Physical Functions
Constantly (67%-100%) required to stand. Occasionally (0%-33%) required to walk and lift up to 50 pounds.


EQUIPMENT USED
Manufacturing equipment. Must understand and be able to use laptops, HMIs, tablets. Must be able to enter data into the system, and interpret data sent to the work station. Must understand the mechanical aspects of each piece of equipment.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES
None required.


LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English proficiently.
