Job summary

Flex‑N‑Gate is hiring for a production associate in Grand Rapids, MI. The role centers on producing quality parts, reading and following work instructions, with 1st and 2nd shifts available. The starting hourly rate is $19.50, and no prior experience is required.

You will load/unload items on a conveyor line, follow process instructions, and work in a high‑paced environment while adhering to safety and quality standards. Training and PPE are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience preferred, but not required.
• Able to perform in a high‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Load / Unload metal hitches to a conveyor line to be painted.
• Read / Follow process and work instructions.
• Perform jobs within operation of assigned work area.
• Use help chain for equipment problems and scrap/quality issues.
• Follow IATF16949 requirements per standards.
• Follow ISO 14001 requirements per standards.
• Maintain 5S standards as they relate to housekeeping in the assigned work area.
• Report any and all safety issues immediately to supervisor / team leader / management staff.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, work rules, safety standards and housekeeping policies.

Summary

Primary responsibility is the production of quality parts while maintaining rate. Reads work instructions and follows oral instructions. 1st and 2nd Shift available. Hourly rate starts at $19.50.

Key Responsibilities

Working Requirements

• Previous experience preferred, but not required.
• Complete and pass Ventra GR29 LOTO trainings.
• Able to perform in a high‑paced environment.

Working Conditions

• Ability to work in cold and hot environments.
• Upper body mobility is required along with the physical requirements of lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling.
• Must be able to stand 90% of the time.
• Able to lift / carry / move using one or two hands from 1 lb. to 25 lbs.
• Overtime as required.

Must wear required PPE at all time.
