Job summary

Flex-N-Gate is seeking a manufacturing associate for a 2:30 pm–10:30 pm shift in Battle Creek, MI. The role pays a starting $20.55/hour with scheduled increases at 3 and 6 months, plus a $0.75 shift differential for the 2nd shift and a monthly attendance bonus in the first month.

Responsibilities include placing materials, operating stamping presses, completing reports, keeping the area safe and clean, inspecting parts, and packing parts into totes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to work both in a team and independently.
• Able to perform basic math including percentages and fractions.
• Able to read and interpret tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Place materials and remove finished parts into stamping press.
• Complete production and inspection reports as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.
• Perform hourly inspection of parts.
• Pack parts off conveyor into various totes and bins.

Work hours are 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Work a straight 8‑hour shift with a paid lunch.

Pay rate starts at $20.55 per hour with scheduled increases at 3 months and 6 months of employment. Additional $0.75 shift differential for 2nd shift. Eligible for a monthly attendance bonus in the first full month of employment.

Requirements

• Prefer 1 year of previous manufacturing experience in a fast‑paced environment
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work both in a team and independently
• Perform basic math skills, including working with percentages and fractions
• Ability to use and understand quality gauges and fixtures
• Ability to read and interpret tape measures
• Ability to work in a factory environment—standing, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs
• Prefer previous experience with stamping presses or related manufacturing equipment
